Sharp's Brewery – London Beach Rugby
Trinity Set & Stage rebuilt Sharp’s Brewery’s beach bar at London Beach Rugby in Finsbury Square — a London set builder bespoke bar build for a sand-pitch rugby brand activation.
The Brief
Sharp’s Brewery hosted London Beach Rugby at Finsbury Square — a friendly rugby tournament built around a real sand pitch with a full seaside theme — and briefed Trinity Set & Stage as their London set builder to deliver the central bar and dressed surroundings. The activation needed to land instantly in the City: bring the Cornish beach-bar identity onto Finsbury Square, host live trade across the weekend, and accommodate a DJ booth for the Saturday night after-party. Because the same bar had just operated at Somersault Festival, the brief carried a tight turnaround — strike from Devon, road-back to London, install and trade — inside a few days.
Our Approach
Trinity Set & Stage approached the London Beach Rugby activation as a full turnaround of our Sharp’s Brewery festival kit. We struck the existing bar at Castle Hill Estate after Somersault, transported back to London and reinstalled into Finsbury Square, refreshed for City trade alongside the sand-pitch rugby and food stalls. The bar was reconfigured to handle higher density urban service, with a sound-friendly DJ booth wrapped into the layout so Bombay Bicycle Club could host the Saturday night after-party. As a London set builder running this kind of bespoke bar build on a tight rotation, we ran a single supply chain across both events so the same brand activation looked finished in two completely different venues.
