A six-week Captain Morgan brand activation at Brixton Jamm — bespoke bar build, LED feature, immersive graphics and pub-game pods by London set builders Trinity Set & Stage.

The Brief

Verve — The Live Agency briefed Trinity Set & Stage to transform and rebrand the outdoor space at Brixton Jamm into a fully immersive Captain Morgan-themed venue, The Captain's Yard. As an established London set builder, Trinity Set & Stage was selected for its track record in bespoke bar build, brand activation set design and large-format event production across London. The brief was clear: turn an existing South London live-music venue into a Captain Morgan destination that drove footfall, looked unmistakably on-brand from the street, photographed beautifully for social, and held up to six full weeks of public use as a working outdoor bar in all weathers.

Our Approach

As a London set builder with deep experience in drinks brand activation, our team developed a design-and-build approach that reworked the venue's existing footprint rather than replacing it — faster, more cost-efficient and lower-impact than a full ground-up build. Working closely with Verve and the Captain Morgan brand team, we converted the on-site shipping container into a fully branded service bar, layered immersive Captain Morgan graphics across every public-facing surface, and engineered a hero LED light feature designed to be visible right across Brixton. Every element was specified for outdoor use, public-realm safety and a six-week run, so the activation behaved as a permanent destination bar even though it was temporary set design.
